My Journey

The Story of Rachael Creates

Over the years, I’ve developed a passion for storytelling and faith-driven communication. My love of words really started in elementary school. Before I was old enough to understand love, pain, or grammar, I was writing stories. My time in seminary reignited my fire for the written word. Something about writing 20-page theological research papers reminded me that somewhere deep down, I had always loved writing as a form of expression.

After graduating, I was given the wild opportunity to turn something I loved into a career. I’ve had the opportunity to work on various projects, including Bible studies, blog posts, recipe articles, and more. Stepping out in faith to pursue this has been one of the scariest adventures of my life. But I’m here. And I’m ready to help others share their stories as well.

Rachael

Hi, I’m the face behind the business! 32 years young and a solo parent to a wild, 11-year-old boy. I was raised in Texas and had a beautiful opportunity to relocate in 2024. I moved to the mountains of Tennessee and haven’t looked back. I’ve worked as a waitress, a teacher, a banker, a sales associate, a church admin, a director of communications, a writer and editor, and now I’m on my own as a freelance editor.

In college, I studied elementary education as an undergraduate and Bible & Theology as a graduate student. Of all the life paths I imagined for myself, I never would have guessed this one. Even so, it’s been twisty and full of surprises, but I’m so pleased to be where I am now.

Then, in 2020, I gave my life to God, and it changed the trajectory of…everything. Since then, I have been taking leaps of faith and keeping everyone on their toes, but God has not failed me yet.

Now, I’m excited to see where He leads me next and how He uses this part of my journey for His good.
